Launching our first retail collaboration!

I’m thrilled to share some big news — Rubbish Bags are making their retail debut!

For the very first time, Rubbish handbags will be available in-store, and Ethos in Los Gatos will be our launch partner.

Two years of research and making went into developing these designs. Each bag is handcrafted from 95% recycled materials, collected through community efforts:

• Fused plastics from newspaper delivery bags and food pouches

• Salvaged leather stripped from discarded couches

• Recycled hardware injection molded in-house from takeout containers

Every piece is a small act of resistance against throwaway culture — what I call my social practice experiment. Instead of heading to landfill, these overlooked scraps become “forever bags” that people can carry, treasure, and pass on like works of art.
